AAC RACE DAY 2023

In 2023, the Adelaide Appeals Committee raised funds for the Hutt Street Centre. The function was held in the Phar Lap room at Morphettville Racecourse.

The centre focuses on connection and support, where people facing homelessness are empowered to rebuild their lives, rediscover their identities and reconnect with the community.

Life-changing programs and services provide the skills, knowledge and confidence to pursue housing, education and employment opportunities helping to end homelessness.

Christmas wreath night returns

The Adelaide Appeals Committee made a return at Jarmer’s Kitchen for the 2022 Christmas Wreath Night.

On Friday November 25th, some of Adelaide’s leading designers, florists and personalities created ‘one of a kind’ Christmas wreaths which were auctioned on the night, raising money for MNDSA.

It was a night of fabulous celebration featuring a bespoke menu by Chris Jarmer & signature wines and bubbles by Bird in Hand.

AAC RACE DAY 2021

In 2021, for a second year, the Adelaide Appeals Committee raised funds for the SAHMRI. The function was held in the Phar Lap room at Morphettville Racecourse.

The proceeds raised went towards buying equipment for researching brain activity in dementia. This equipment will essentially change the way we look at the brain and neural pathways.

Christmas wreath party

The Adelaide Appeals Committee held the 2019 Christmas Wreath Night at Jarmer’s Kitchen on Friday, November 15th.

All wreaths were sold on the night, with all funds raised going to Catherine House.

We put together a fabulous list of Wreath designers who created some beautiful pieces in time for Christmas.

AAC race day for SAHMRI MIND + BRAIN (depression studies)

In 2018, the Adelaide Appeals Committee raised funds for the SAHMRI in the Gerard Pavilion at Morphettville Racecourse.

'Depression represents the highest non-fatal disease burden in Australia and is the leading cause of disability.

It’s a major cause of suicide, which is the third-highest fatal disease burden in Australian men.

It’s anticipated that by 2020, depression will be the second leading contributor to the global burden of disease.'

Funds were raised on the day through sponsorships, raffle ticket sales and an auction for a bid for a stake in the Tony McEvoy young filly.

share the dignity long lunch

In 2017, a long lunch was held at Stone’s Throw to raise funds for Share The Dignity, supporting women in need.

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty.

‘No woman should suffer the indignity of choosing between eating or purchasing sanitary products’
